“Sir Alex Ferguson informed me that he had considered signing him before his retirement. He suggested that we pursue a deal now, especially since the player is in good form, to enhance our chances in the league.” – United are reportedly considering a loan deal for a former Madrid star who is a Ballon d’Or winner, in line with Erik ten Hag’s expressed interest.

Manchester United is reportedly considering a surprising six-month loan deal for Karim Benzema, as per the latest reports. Benzema, currently playing for Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, has been at the center of transfer rumors, and there is widespread speculation about his potential departure.

According to Javier Parra Pena, Manchester United is showing interest, and they are said to be exploring the possibility of a six-month loan deal for the former Real Madrid forward.

Karim Benzema, aged 36, has enjoyed a prolific stint with Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League, scoring 15 goals in 24 appearances. However, recent reports suggest that the legendary player is considering a return to Europe, with Manchester United closely monitoring his situation during this transfer window. Louis Saha has expressed support for United’s pursuit of Benzema, emphasizing that his addition could bring dynamism to the team’s frontline, enhancing goal-scoring capabilities and playmaking.

Saha views Benzema as a seasoned professional and believes his presence would be beneficial for the development of younger strikers like Hojlund, although he acknowledges this scenario as more of a fantasy.

Benzema, renowned for his prolific scoring record, amassed an impressive 354 goals in 648 appearances for Real Madrid during his remarkable tenure with the La Liga giants.

The French striker was previously linked with a move to Old Trafford before opting for Real Madrid in 2009. Currently, Erik ten Hag has Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial as his offensive options. Hojlund, who joined the team last summer, has recorded just one league goal since his arrival, while Martial has been strongly rumored to be departing from Manchester United.

The potential acquisition of Benzema in the January transfer window could bring a wealth of experience to the frontline, providing valuable support to Hojlund as he continues to adapt to the team.
