BREAKING NEWS: Although I begged him to join Arsenal, he ultimately decided to sign with Manchester United rather than us. William Saliba has confirmed that his international teammate, who is worth £45 million, has agreed to personal terms to join Manchester United rather than Arsenal.

Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez currently hold the main center-back positions at Manchester United, with Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire serving as backup options.

Maguire experienced a period of being out of favor during the latter part of the previous season, and there is a possibility that he might be on the verge of leaving soon. West Ham recently submitted a bid of £30 million for Maguire.

RMC Sport reports that Manchester United has reached out to Nice to discuss the possibility of a transfer involving Todibo. They have inquired about the details and requirements for the potential move.

Furthermore, United has entered into discussions with Todibo’s representatives, and these talks have been characterized as “productive.” Any potential transfer for Todibo would depend on Maguire leaving the club.

If Maguire decides to depart, Manchester United may consider pursuing Todibo.

Ongoing negotiations between West Ham and United for Maguire involve a £30 million offer, and there is a possibility of an agreement being reached for £35 million.

However, finalizing the deal remains challenging, as United would also need to cover Maguire’s wages. If he agrees to a substantial pay cut at West Ham, the club will still need to provide a significant payout.

Todibo has been a long-standing target for Manchester United since 2019. The 23-year-old defender has exhibited substantial growth, earning his first call-up to the French national team in March.

Todibo’s potential addition would represent an improvement over Maguire. He is a skilled center-back recognized for his adept ball-playing abilities. In the previous Ligue 1 season, he boasted an 89 percent passing accuracy, completed an average of 57 passes per game, succeeded in 65 percent of his duels, made 1.2 interceptions, 2.2 tackles, and 3.1 clearances.

Adjusting to the requirements of the Premier League is expected to present minimal challenges for him. A potential agreement could materialize if Manchester United can approach Nice’s asking price of approximately €45 million (£39 million), contingent on Maguire’s departure.
