Leicester is strategizing to secure a replacement for James Maddison in the upcoming January transfer window.

Despite a draw against nearest rivals Ipswich Town last time out, Leicester City remain proudly atop the Championship table.
The Foxes have maintained their leading position throughout the first half of the season, and Enzo Maresca undoubtedly wants to sustain this momentum as they aim for an immediate return to the Premier League.
To achieve this, they must once again navigate the January transfer market. One area where they could benefit from added depth is in attacking midfield. Although James Maddison was transferred to Tottenham in the summer and hasn’t been replaced yet, the team has coped thus far.
However, as the season progresses, especially if injuries become a factor, the absence of a Maddison replacement could pose challenges.
Leicestershire Live suggests that while there isn’t an immediate necessity for a Maddison replacement, the club is likely to plan for one if the right player becomes available at an acceptable price. According to the outlet, Albert Gronbaek from Bodo/Glimt could be an ideal addition.
The 22-year-old has already scored 20 goals in 34 matches this season. Despite his young age, integrating into the Championship may pose a challenge, but he has ample time for growth and development.
