The player targeted by Manchester United stays “completely focused,” but his future doesn’t lie with his current club.

When the transfer window comes around, there are always going to be rumours flying about, and one Man United target’s future isn’t with his current club.
While the specific timing for the Red Devils to pursue their target remains unclear, the knowledge that there is a possibility of securing the player will undoubtedly be a significant boost for the club.
The timing of United’s move is expected to depend largely on Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Although an announcement regarding Sir Jim’s partial takeover is anticipated soon, he is likely to have various urgent matters to address.
As the saying goes, “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” and the process of restoring Manchester United to their rightful status, both on and off the pitch, will require time. If a managerial change is deemed necessary by Sir Jim, it’s likely that such a decision won’t be made until at least the end of the season.
Football Insider, as reported by TeamTalk in November, indicated that Sir Jim Ratcliffe would replace Erik ten Hag with Roberto De Zerbi of Brighton and Hove Albion once officially appointed to oversee the sporting aspect of the business.
However, as noted by Fabrizio Romano, De Zerbi’s current focus lies elsewhere. Romano mentioned in his Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, “Roberto De Zerbi is being watched and followed by some of the top clubs around Europe, and that’s normal because he’s one of the best managerial talents in the Premier League.” Romano added, “For sure, his future is gonna be in a top club, but not sure when – it’s too early to say.
He’s now fully focused on the Brighton project.”
