Manchester City
Manchester City is on the verge of securing a remarkable 17-year-old talent who netted four goals for Argentina in a World Cup competition.

The Premier League club is said to be close to finalizing a deal with the Argentine side for the highly talented young player, Claudio Echeverri.
If Manchester City successfully secures an agreement for Echeverri, a loan-back arrangement to River Plate until the conclusion of the Premier League season is probable, mirroring the approach taken with Julián Álvarez. In Álvarez’s case, he joined City in January 2022 but continued playing for River Plate until the following summer, contributing to City’s subsequent successes in various competitions.
The potential signing of Claudio Echeverri by Manchester City, coupled with a loan-back arrangement, is advancing, and Echeverri has also attracted interest from Barcelona.
Although City is not anticipated to make first-team signings in January, they are contemplating some departures, including those of Kalvin Phillips, Zach Steffen, and Sergio Gomez. The return of Kevin De Bruyne from injury is expected to bolster City’s squad in January, and this is likely to be the primary first-team enhancement during the winter transfer window.
If Man City can seal the deal for Echeverri then it’ll be another feather in their cap as far as signing a youngster with world class potential is concerned.
