Chelsea
Exclusive: Rivals in the Premier League may make a bid for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, as the Blues contemplate the possibility of selling him.

Another transfer window will soon be upon us, and that means that Chelsea’s business will once again come under scrutiny.
In recent transfer windows, owner Todd Boehly has been exceptionally active, demonstrating his commitment to the club.
Notable record-breaking expenditures occurred in the last January transfer window, and a substantial player exodus took place during the summer, resulting in double-digit departures.
As the approaching January 1 date looms, the club is already contemplating the potential sale of Conor Gallagher, who is serving as the team captain in the absence of Reece James.
There is a belief that manager Mauricio Pochettino’s hands are constrained in this specific scenario, creating an unhealthy dynamic between him and the club.
This situation raises concerns about how the Argentinian manager can be expected to lead the Blues out of their current challenges if the ground is constantly shifting beneath him, reminiscent of the challenges faced by his predecessors.
The primary issue seems to be the inability to reach a consensus on a new contract. Fabrizio Romano clarified in his Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, stating,
Firstly, I want to clarify that I have never indicated any connection between the Conor Gallagher story and a potential Chelsea bid for Ivan Toney—there is no such link. Regarding Gallagher, the decision is now in Chelsea’s hands.
While Mauricio Pochettino is content with him, the player and the club need to determine their course of action.
With no agreement reached on a new contract yet, if the circumstances remain unchanged, Chelsea might consider selling Conor if a significant proposal arises.
” Given the current uncertainty surrounding Gallagher, it’s evident that he would attract interest from other clubs, with Tottenham Hotspur being one of them, even though they are Chelsea’s London rivals.
