Here we go!’ – Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool has just secured their fourth summer signing following Wirtz.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool has reached an agreement with Bournemouth for the acquisition of Milos Kerkez.

The Reds have been active in the transfer market after Arne Slot guided them to the Premier League title in the 2024/25 season, having already signed Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, while his Bundesliga colleague Florian Wirtz is poised to join him in a record-breaking deal for the club.

Now, the Merseyside club has struck a deal with the Cherries to bolster their left-back position, with Hungary international Kerkez receiving the ‘Here we Go’ confirmation.

Liverpool Finalizes Agreement for Kerkez.

Medical examination scheduled in the upcoming days.

The 21-year-old, who has been labeled as ‘world-class’, settled personal terms for a transfer to Anfield back in May, but Liverpool chose to focus on securing Wirtz and Frimpong first this summer.

A deal has now been finalized for a fee around £40 million, and Slot is on the verge of adding another player to enhance his squad.

Kerkez enjoyed an outstanding season with the Cherries in 2024/25, scoring two goals and providing five assists in 38 Premier League matches, as Andoni Iraola’s team narrowly missed out on European qualification for the next season.

The left-back is set to sign a long-term contract at Anfield and is anticipated to become the primary choice in that position, especially with the futures of Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas uncertain.

Fabrizio Romano recently disclosed that the Scotland international has become a key target for Atletico Madrid and is open to a transfer to Spain, while Tsimikas has also been linked with Premier League newcomers Leeds United as he seeks more consistent first-team opportunities.

However, while their situations remain ambiguous, it is now confirmed that Kerkez will be the latest addition to the champions’ squad.

In addition to Frimpong, Wirtz, and Kerkez, Liverpool has also finalized the acquisition of young Hungarian goalkeeper Armin Pecsi.
