Liverpool is set to finalize the signing of a top-tier attacker after missing out on Kylian Mbappe.
Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo is being linked with a potential move at the end of the season. According to French publication L’Equipe, Liverpool and Newcastle United are interested in the 24-year-old. Mbeumo, under contract with Brentford until 2026, could command a significant transfer fee.
Liverpool, needing attacking reinforcements, may find Mbeumo a versatile addition, capable of playing across the front three and bringing goals and creativity.
This season, he has scored nine goals and provided six assists, and his performance could improve further in a stronger team.
Newcastle also requires more quality in wide positions to enhance their attack and aim for higher league finishes and trophies.
Mbeumo’s pace, skill, and ability to beat defenders would add unpredictability to their offense.
Mbeumo has expressed a desire to join a big club and compete at the highest level, making a move to Liverpool or Newcastle appealing.
