Marcus Rashford is said to have missed a Manchester United training session after being seen dancing with local girls at a Belfast nightclub, according to reports.

Marcus Rashford is said to have skipped Manchester United training following a night out in Belfast. Earlier in the week, there were reports of Rashford being seen at a nightclub in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on Wednesday night. However, The Athletic has indicated that Rashford was in Belfast on both Wednesday and Thursday nights before being absent from training with his club on Friday.

Allegedly, the player visited a nightclub shortly before he was expected to join a club training session. According to the report, the forward went to Lavery’s Bar on Wednesday night and then attended Thompsons Garage nightclub in the city on Thursday night. He subsequently flew back to Manchester the next morning via a private jet. Addressing Rashford’s situation on Friday, United manager Erik ten Hag mentioned, “This morning, Rashford was unwell, and (Jonny) Evans was unwell, so we have to see how they recover.”

In November 2023, Rashford was observed at a nightclub following Manchester United’s 3-0 defeat to local rivals Manchester City. Addressing the incident at that time, Ten Hag remarked, “I spoke with him about it. It’s unacceptable. He apologized, and that is it. For us, it’s an internal matter. He’s very motivated to put things right. He’s totally with us.” He added, “He has made a mistake, but that doesn’t say he’s not fitting in. I see him every day in training, what he’s doing, I know.”

Despite being one of the standout players in the Premier League last season with 30 goals across all competitions, Rashford’s performance has significantly declined this season, having scored only four goals in 26 appearances so far. United is set to return to action on Sunday afternoon, facing Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
