It’s imperative to part ways with Antony, Jadon Sancho, and possibly Greenwood, and secure outstanding talents before other prominent clubs do so. This is part of Man Utd’s strategy following Erik ten Hag’s recent instructions in his final meeting with INEOS, aiming to sign three exceptional wingers from France.”

Manchester United has initiated an ambitious £100 million transfer strategy to part ways with both Jadon Sancho and Antony. Following a falling out with Erik ten Hag, Sancho has left Old Trafford to join Borussia Dortmund on loan until the season’s end, without an option to buy. Antony, on the other hand, has faced criticism for his lackluster performances in a Man United jersey this season, having failed to score a goal in 22 appearances.

According to a report, Manchester United considers the pair, Sancho and Antony, as surplus to requirements and has proposed a plan to offload them in the upcoming summer. As per The Standard, both players have been offered to clubs in Saudi Arabia with the aim of recouping a portion of the £155 million spent on them.

The club is reportedly seeking around £50 million for each player. Sancho, who recently entered into a loan deal with Borussia Dortmund, was previously linked with Barcelona and Juventus. The 23-year-old English winger, acquired for £73 million in 2021, has scored 12 goals in 82 games for Man United but made only three appearances under Ten Hag this season.

On the other hand, Antony, the 23-year-old Brazilian, was advised by Ten Hag to ‘do better’ and faces an uncertain future at Man United. The report mentions that he was purchased for a substantial £86 million in the summer of 2022 and has struggled to make a significant impact. Antony has not scored this season, in contrast to eight goals in 44 games across all competitions last season.

It is highlighted that John Murtough, the director of football at Manchester United, engaged in talks with officials from the Saudi Pro League and Saudi Ministry of Sport during the Club World Cup in December, with the intention of establishing connections for potential player sales in the upcoming summer. As a result of these discussions, there is a possibility that Sancho and Antony might be transferred to Saudi Arabia.
