On the transfer deadline day, Greenwood finalized a loan move to the Spanish La Liga side Getafe for the 23/24 season. Since joining the Spanish club, he has made 19 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing four assists.

Now, reports suggest that Greenwood might be on the verge of a dream transfer. According to The Sun, the 22-year-old has attracted interest from La Liga giants Barcelona, and he has expressed to his advisors that a move to the Catalan club would be a dream come true. A source mentioned, “Barcelona wants to sign Greenwood, and he wants to move there. The next step is for the clubs to come to an agreement.”

“Manchester United wants to sell the player, and the manager has accepted that Greenwood won’t be returning. The consensus is that it is in the best interest of all parties to have a clean break.
