Cristiano Ronaldo has advised Benzema about the prospect of collaborating with Ten Hag at Manchester United.

According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo has offered guidance to Karim Benzema regarding the prospect of collaborating with Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.

Benzema has netted 15 goals in 24 games for Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League following his departure from Real Madrid. Recent indications propose a possible return to Europe, with Manchester United attentively observing the situation for a potential transfer in January.

Previously associated with a transfer to Old Trafford in 2009 before ultimately opting for Real Madrid, where he amassed 354 goals in 648 matches, Benzema is now considering the possibility of a move to Manchester United.

Nevertheless, he might take into account Cristiano Ronaldo’s viewpoint on Ten Hag, who was once his teammate at Real Madrid.

In November 2022, Ronaldo openly expressed his feelings about the Dutchman, mentioning that he “doesn’t respect” Ten Hag and accusing the manager of trying to push him out during the summer.

“I don’t have respect for him [Ten Hag] because he doesn’t show respect for me,” Ronaldo stated on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

“If there’s no respect for me, I won’t reciprocate the respect.”

The Portuguese international further asserted that it was Manchester United and Ten Hag who played a role in pushing him toward leaving.

“Manchester United attempted to compel me to depart,” he stated.

“Not just the manager, but also the other two or three individuals associated with the club at the senior executive level. I sensed betrayal. Regardless, I believe people should hear the truth. Yes, I felt betrayed. It seems that some individuals did not want me here, not only this year but also last season.”

At present, Ten Hag oversees Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial, with the former having scored only two goals in the Premier League and the latter being strongly rumored to be on the brink of leaving.
