Aston Villa is concerned about losing their top player in a discounted deal in 2024.
The Brazilian player is gaining significant attention from Arsenal, who faced rejection for over two bids for the midfielder in the summer of 2022.
Arsenal’s sporting director, Edu, is a strong admirer of his fellow countryman. As Mikel Arteta searches for a new addition to the midfield, Luiz is the top choice on their list.
A move in January looks very unlikely as it has been widely reported that Villa will look for around £100m to part ways with the 25-year-old.
However, with his contract displaying two years left at the end of the season, the Villa star’s price will not be that high.
Luiz holds a crucial role in Unai Emery’s current and future strategies, making the Spanish coach reluctant to part ways with him as he endeavors to construct a distinctive setup at Villa Park.
Arsenal is expected to make another attempt next summer, and it wouldn’t be surprising if other clubs also express interest in securing the services of the Brazilian star.
